A nice evening under warm air heaters

We met in the city centre at around four in the afternoon. We had never met before, so I suspected we would rather have a cup of coffee, talk for a couple of minutes and then go home, but it turned out to be a really long and fascinating conversation after all. We had a lot in common, including experience and interest. We went for a long walk first. It was still quite warm outside, and the sky was only a bit cloudy. But then it became dark and cold so we sat by a cafe and drank hot chocolate. It was not at all cold there. It was all thanks to a kind of innovation that the cafe had introduced some time before. The garden was surrounded by high poles with umbrella-shaped warm air heaters at the tops. The heaters gave out enough heat to warm up everybody who was sitting outside the cafe. You could feel the difference as soon as you moved further away from the garden. We sat there and talked for hours. Finally, when the cafe was supposed to be closed in ten minutes" time, we stood up, put on warm jackets and moved towards the station. The warm air heaters would be turned off soon anyway. We were really cold as we were walking towards the railway station, but at least I did not regret spending the evening with my new friend at all.
