Pros and cons of using a white cot

If you are currently looking for a cot bed for your newborn child, and you have been thinking of buying a cot mattress, here is some advice from a mother of a two-year-old boy. We had designed our son"s nursery months before he was born. I wanted the room to be bright and cheerful so most furniture items and all other accessories were either white, yellow or pastel pink, green and blue. Of course, we also bought a couple of white baby bedding sets. It all looked fantastic. I love white and bright colours so much; they are so optimistic, and they match almost all other colours so you can easily create a contrast, which is extremely important for you child"s eyesight development. But unfortunately, there are also some disadvantages of using white objects with little children. Every spot of dirt was visible on our cot mattress bed, and the white baby bedding sets were washed so often that they actually looked beige after a couple of weeks. The pink pastel rug was covered in stains of all sorts. Well, if you are thinking of getting a cot mattress for your child, you must be aware that although the colour looks fantastic in a child"s nursery, it is not very practical. But if you still have a lot of free time and feel that you can manage the mess, why not?
